This large-scale installation features a 40-foot whale shark and multiple manta rays suspended within the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium. Each sculpture was crafted from steel, foam, and hard coat, meticulously designed to capture the graceful movement of these ocean giants. The whale shark, the largest fish in the sea, is accompanied by manta rays that add dynamic flow to the space. The intricate details, from the whale shark’s signature pattern to the manta rays’ wing-like fins, showcase the craftsmanship behind this project. Designed and painted by Stephen Kesler, with enlargement in collaboration with Western Architectural Services.
